
Emmanuel Church of Uganda, Kibimbiri Parish Council members attending meeting with Compassion International
Emmanuel Church of Uganda, Kibimbiri Parish, marked a significant milestone on 30/07/2026 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Compassion International, officially paving the way for the implementation of the Kibimbiri Compassion Project.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Diocesan Secretary, Rev. Elizabeth Akandiinda, who represented the Diocese during the event. The partnership underscores a shared commitment to holistic child development through interventions in education, healthcare, spiritual nurture, and social transformation.

As part of the day’s proceedings, a seven-member Interim Committee was constituted to guide the initial implementation of the project and coordinate preparations for its successful rollout. The implementation roadmap was also presented, outlining key activities and milestones for the project’s commencement.
In a further demonstration of their commitment to safeguarding children, members of the Parish Council signed the Child and Youth Protection and Safeguarding Code of Conduct, affirming their dedication to upholding the highest standards of child protection, integrity, and accountability throughout the implementation of the project.
The Diocese of Kinkiizi thanks God for this important milestone and looks forward to seeing the Kibimbiri Compassion Project positively impact the lives of children, families, and the wider community through this partnership.
