Nyakatare Holy Cross Guest House

Nyakatare Holy Cross Guest House

Nyakatare Holy Cross Guest House and training centre was opened in 1994 having been built with support from our friends in Bearsted Parish, Maidstone, UK. It was officially opened by the former Archbishop of Uganda, Yona Okoth and Miss Margaret Miller.

Since then the facility has been used by many people and groups including; Diocesan staff, Clergy retreats and pedagogical lessons, Diocesan Council meetings, Uganda Wild life Association and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Local District meetings, Bishop Barham College, Health services, private commercial sector, Development companies and NGOs, and many visiting overseas missionaries and organizations.

Holy Cross Guest House provides a number of services among which there is: Accommodation (Single and double rooms, self-contained rooms and a family cottage), Dormitory rooms, Dining facilities, and large Conference and Training facilities, all in pleasant surroundings with a communal garden area and plenty of car parking.

However, the guest House needs a facelift to accommodate a big number of people and social functions matching the modern era if funds allow.
