Education
The department is currently coordinated by Rev. Stellah Arineitwe.
The Church of Uganda and Kinkiizi in particular has had a long history of being involved in Education of people in Kinkiizi. We now have 84 Primary Schools, 14 secondary schools, 5Tertiary/vocational institutions and one nursing school at Bwindi (web link).
Due to limited financial resources, the diocese has not been able to do all it would wish by way of helping our schools, teachers and staff to develop more but some good progress is being made through scholarship, UPE and USE programmes, and we hope that much more will be achieved in the years ahead by God’s grace.
There is still need for more ordained ministers and yet their courses are costly in terms of finances, but we thank God for the good number that the Diocese sends for training year after year. Our appreciation go to all heads of these institutions past and present for the good work rendered, and all who have generously contributed towards the growth and development of our schools especially Can. Marvin Barmforth scholarship coordinator and other mission partners.
Much more still needs to be done in our schools and institutions which call for our cooperative responsibility and good will.
